The Back is Boss

Time 2012-3-15    Source:

Most people suffer from back-ache at some stage in their lives. Not the kind of debilitating back pain that has you bent double, but the niggling kind that results from poor posture and a weak core.

Lying deep within the torso, the core muscles stabilise the spine and the pelvis; core stability is the result of these muscles creating a strong, well-balanced platform for your body to perform its daily tasks efficiently. But when these muscles are weak or out-of-whack, back pain is often an unwelcome visitor.

When you are working out in the gym the temptation is to exercise the abdominals and skip everything else in the mid-section - happens all the time – but you will be doing yourself a big favour if you build a little back work into every session from now on.

A strong core and happy spine will repay you many fold over the years. If you would like a programme that will help you to look after your back ask one of our LA Coaches in club.
